Why did you choose Sprott Shaw College?

I was employed as an ECE Assistant at a childcare center when I decided to enroll in an ECE course. Noticing that I was already performing many of the same tasks and duties as an ECE, I began researching schools and reaching out to them. The SSC admin promptly responded to my inquiry, provided detailed information, and guided me through the registration process.

After registering, Adam contacted me and offered me a spot in a government-funded course. He made sure I had all the necessary information and encouraged me to start the course as soon as possible. I am incredibly grateful to Sprott Shaw College for providing me with this wonderful opportunity and for supporting me throughout this learning journey.

I received immense kindness and support from my teachers, practicum supervisors, admins, and coordinators. Their guidance was instrumental in helping me achieve my goal of advancing my education in ECE. Without their assistance, I wouldn’t have been able to succeed in this endeavor.

If you could give advice to someone coming to Sprott Shaw, what would you say?

If I could offer advice to someone starting at Sprott Shaw, I would suggest the following:

  • Stay Organized: Manage your time effectively to balance studies, assignments, and personal life.
  • Utilize Resources: Take advantage of Sprott Shaw’s resources and support services, such as tutoring, career services, and counseling.
  • Network Actively: Build connections with your peers and instructors to enrich your learning experience.
  • Stay Motivated: Keep your goals in mind and seek help when facing challenges.
  • Embrace Curiosity: Be open-minded and willing to explore new ideas and opportunities throughout your time at Sprott Shaw.
