As part of our commitment to delivering an up-to-date, comprehensive, and interactive learning experience, Sprott Shaw College is excited to announce our newly updated Legal Administrator and Paralegal programs! With these new updates, our legal programs will provide a more modern, interactive, and engaging learning experience that we can’t wait for our Legal Administrator and Paralegal students to experience. See what’s changed below!

What’s new:
- An introduction to the Canadian Legal System is now included at the start of both programs to build a strong foundational understanding of Canadian Law. This new course will provide a great starting point for those who may be unfamiliar with the Canadian Legal System and will better ease students into our legal programs.
- Legal Office Simulations that immerse students in a realistic legal environment and allow students to apply their knowledge in a hands-on way. These simulations will better prepare students for their roles in a legal office.
- An increase in roleplays, analyzing case studies, mock hearings, and interactive activities throughout the program. Interactive learning is proven to aid in comprehension, and this increase in interactivity will make for a more engaging learning experience.
- A course on Indigenous Affairs and Diversity in Law to allow students to better navigate an increasingly diverse and inclusive world. This addition provides our students with a greater understanding of diversity in the legal field.
- A course on Intellectual Property, Media and, Internet Law to prepare students for the growing regulation of technology and digital media. This course is a crucial addition as Information Technology Law is a fast-growing and ever-changing field.
- And finally, no more written final exams! Instead, students will work throughout the program on a client file project that will be presented on the final day of the program. This change allows our students to better demonstrate the skills they have gained throughout the program.
