What were you doing before attending Sprott Shaw College?

Before attending Sprott Shaw for Level 2 Electrical, I was working full-time with an electrical company in Vancouver.

Why did you choose Sprott Shaw College?

I keep choosing Sprott Shaw because the waitlist is reasonable, and the teachers, especially Shaun Eldrige, are amazing. Shaun is very knowledgeable, professional, and fun to work with. He always goes the extra mile whenever we students need it. Shaun is passionate about what he does and encourages us to strive for more and aim higher. A big thank you to Shaun Eldrige!

How was the admissions process?

Super Easy! No delays, No mistakes, No misunderstandings, and a very clear process. Thank you Ed K. and Bal.

What program did you choose and why?

First, being an electrician is an awesome job with lots of challenges and rewards. Second, electricians are always in demand, and if you love what you do, you’ll always have a job, like myself. Third, team members are great and very helpful, and there is a lot of respect within the company.

What was the environment like during your time at Sprott Shaw College?

Super friendly. I had a chance to meet with the Director and all the staff, and they were very responsive and got things done promptly.

How long did it take you to find a job after graduation?

No time at all. As soon as I completed my Electrical Level 2, I called my former employer, and they welcomed me back anytime I wanted.

Where do you work? Can you explain your duties?

The duties can vary from installing accessories to wiring a full apartment building, as well as handling some commercial projects and more.

If you could give advice to someone coming to Sprott Shaw, what would you say?

I’d say that person is at the right school. The teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The labs are equipped with recent devices that are in great shape. If you do your part and study, with the teacher’s help, you will succeed.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

I totally recommend Sprott Shaw Trades for Electrical. Even though Sprott is a small school, it has everything a student needs to excel in real-life situations.
